The long face

Long chin, high forehead, long cheeks

In order to emphasise the fineness of your face, you should wear short hairstyles. Long hair makes your face appear even longer. Fringes take length from faces.

The heart-shaped face

Broad forehead, narrow chin, like an upside-down triangle

Styles without too much fringe are best here. The hair length should be to the chin or shoulder. Ideal styles are those that flick outwards around chin level.

The diamond-shaped face

Wide cheek bones, low forehead, small chin

In order to conceal the wide cheekbones, your hairstyle should be narrower at the sides and fuller around the chin. Avoid having voluminous hair on the crown or at the sides.

The oval face

The square face
