Milestones

1965 - 1967

After her studies in the fashion metropolis of Paris, Ellen Wille opened a small retail store in Frankfurt in 1967. The sale of wigs begins. Ellen Wille's unbeatable flair for upcoming trends combined with a clear-sighted view of the market enabled her to create high-quality and fashionable models.

1968 - 1971

The business expanded as demand exploded worldwide for wigs. Hair replacement was no longer associated with illness and infirmity and wigs were increasingly seen more as a fashion accessory. Hair pieces were added to the programme and international cooperations in the US and Asia opened up more avenues. This led to a cooperation with Eva Gabor and Josef Scigliano that resulted in the creation of in-house fashionable and trendy models.

1987 - 1997

Due to huge demand for ellen wille branded products the specialist store in downtown Frankfurt became a limited company which then moved into larger premises outside of Frankfurt. Nothing now stood in the company's way. The specialist store was retained in order to make the “ellen wille” brand available to customers in Frankfurt and the surrounding areas through our trained staff. In addition, customers are given the opportunity to visit the local in-house beauty and cosmetics salon.

1999

Raquel Welch Collection At the end of the 1990s Ellen Wille spearheaded a trendsetting development and set new standards by creating her own Raquel Welch Collection for Europe. Ellen Wille gained exclusive sales rights for this collection and still holds them to this day

1999 - 2011

Ellen Wille‘s numerous collections remain not only the most beautiful but also highest quality wigs on the European market. Constant topicality and the newest trends characterise her wigs. Ellen Wille‘s brand-new Hair Society collection has been awarded with 2 prizes in 2011 at the world congress of hair solutions in Paris and exceeds the expectations of all customers, no matter what taste or quality demand.

Due to the constant market growth and the service that ellen wille ows her customers the office headquarters in Schwalbach are on the verge of being built out. In order to present even more of the finest wigs and to accommodate a continuous growing team ellen wille has added a further area of 1000 square meters. Other than stock rooms and offices, training and presentation rooms have been built.

In view of massive global competition, Ellen Wille invested more in the company's future and has thereby turned it increasingly into a training school. Our apprentices are professionally trained as specialists and routinely care for our customers in a professional and competent manner – whether they are in Europe, Africa, Asia or America.

In this sense Ellen Wille does not only want to safeguard the future public image of the company. Apprentices trained in specialist internal processes are also responsible for the competent and smooth operation of the business.

From the beginning Ellen Wille has paid particular attention to making the company accessible to customers. Field-service staff visit our customers at regular intervals, present new products and are the first point of contact for any questions and suggestions. Ellen Wille now employs six field-service staff, who represent the most important communications interface between the customer and the company – both nationally and worldwide.

More than 70 people work for ellen wille The Hair-Company GmbH in Germany alone, and a further expansion of business and storage space is now required. ellen wille The Hair-Company GmbH is currently based in Schwalbach and uses around 2500 square metres of space both for its business and storage. A further extension is now planned.

The in-house collections find a ready market both in Europe and worldwide thanks to the variety of models and colour shades. The perfection, quality and natural look of the HairPower Collection set new goals for the market so that a continual expansion is registered. The trendy HAIR COOLES and Power Pieces brands are also to be mentioned here, of course. Not to forget the Raquel Welch Collection as well as the newest brand Hairdo, by Jessica Simpson und Ken Paves that is distributed exclusively by ellen wille The Hair-Company GmbH in Europe.

Constant contact with the suppliers means the guaranteed availability of all models. Field staff care of the personal contact between the company and our customers. Our creative and marketing department is constantly working on innovations and designs and sets trends.
